I can confirm the resturant is a total loss. Passed it on my way from Logan to my hotel in Cambridge tonight. Sad site especially knowing the great loss to the state. They must have tried to fight the fire with fire boats, there was little or no chance of a truck getting there. Wouldn't want to risk the fireman.

Ya, it was all over the news around here. Very sad. . .
The truth of the matter is that it was an accident waiting to happen. It's contruction was very old wood, around 80 years old, and we've had many buildings like that go up in flames over the years.
They tried everything to contain the fire, including the fireboats, but to no avail. Those old buildings burn up quickly.

On a personal note. . .I like our "Maine" lobsters much better than the spiny's.
Needless to say, I've had both, more times than I can count, and my vote is for the East Coast species.

I watched a gargantuan battle one time, between a squid and a Maine lobster with giant claws, and the carnage was beyond description.
When the battle was over, all that was left was a squid beak. . .
