BOHICA

Standby folks..Gas prices are going up again and it's going to be nuts. This has to have an impact on the Fishing Industry, especially the Charter Boats. Curious as to how much more an overnighter will be in the future.
Let alone you folks with your own boats..Yeeeesh!!!
Not only the Fishing industry but evrything else is going to have to go up to offset the transportation costs of goods. Gas prices going up and value of a Paycheck is going down. Pretty crazy. Almost like living the 70's again under Carter.

Ha!! I recall that this republican president tried to get approval for more oil exploration in Alaska but the other side squealed and said "ohhhh noooo we might disturb some caribou" and it got shot down by the other side. Regardless I agree.. Both sides suck toenails when it comes down to "US".

Here's the scoop. Not good at all..

Crude oil easily broke the record for the largest one-time gain and the all-time record close when it settled at $138.54 on Friday. That marks a gain of 8.4%, or $10.74.
The previous all-time record close of $133.17 was set on May 21 while the largest one-time gain was set on Thursday when oil surged $5.49.
Crude’s surge was so sharp that trading was temporarily halted Friday afternoon for all oil-related commodities after they hit their daily limit for trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Heating oil finished up 29 cents to $3.97 a gallon, which marks an 8% gain on the day, while gasoline settled up 6.35% or 21 cents to $3.546 a gallon.
Crude oil peaked at $139.01 a barrel on Friday afternoon, an increase of $11.22 after opening the day at $127.79.
The price jump came as traders buzzed about an analyst predicting oil would hit $150 by next month, a drop in the U.S dollar and a threat of a potential air strike in Iran.
Ole Slorer, a Morgan Stanley analyst, forecasted crude could hit $150 by July 4, due to increasing demand in Asia. This combined with a weakening dollar may have encouraged overseas traders to seek a hedge against the falling dollar.

8 X 136 gal = 1088 / 3 trips = 362.67 / 3 guys = 120.89 per person to go catch rock fish....F K that!!! I have already bought a new canopy to park the boat under and all the stuff to fog the motor and just let it sit. Thing is paid for if I can keep the sun off it I will see what the future brings. I have a full tank now so July 4th through the 6th I will be at the islands fishing all weekend then then up on blocks.

The boat is a luxury item so I don't need to use it but I feel for the people that have to decide to fill the tank of their family's stomachs. Yikes ok I am going to stop here no need for more drama on the board.
