Guy's its not the size of the state, its the wealth of the state she manages. More over she has taken on the top two members of her own party when there were charges of corruption by them and won one, we will wait and see on Ted Stevens. As for more GOP don't buy, lets remember that John Kerry offered John McCain the VP slot before he offered it to anyone else, and many in the house, senate and even Clinton urged him to take it. He has fought this adminstration when he thinks it's wrong, as well as sided with the Dems when he thinks they are right. Besides serving he has 3 sons that have and are serving all with real combat time, and Palin has a son about to be deployed. Neither Biden nor Obama can say that.

Most important to us Palin is an avid fisherperson. She regularly fishes Saltwater as well as streams. She is also an avid hunter and supporter of the rights of sportsman. As for experience she has more experience than Obama in that she has finished terms in office as city council and mayor, has beaten Repulicans with more time in office and by the way held executive positions Mayor, and Govener where the buck stopped with them. They may not be your choice but if you buy into they are inexperianced or more of George Bush, you don't know them, their records, or what they stand for. Palin has been active on national bipartisan committees to solve the national health care needs, she is very knowledgable on energy maters and defense. In case you don't remember Alaska is in the A list of targets for the Russians who are once again flying strategic armed bombers off the coast of Alaska. Strike time is 30 minutes, and the key is to cut off a large part of the national energy supply. As such the Governer of Alaska, and the Alaska Air National Guard under her command hold a unique strategic place in the scheme of things. Yeah, doesn't make her an expert but she has an 80% approval rating after 2 years in office. Arnold can't even say that, nor any member of congress.

Neither Biden nor Obama can say that.

please explain "real combat time" in your own personal experience and how exactly you figure Beau Biden's service in Iraq doesn't count.

Robert, I define real combat time as being placed in significant harms way. Although time spent at Diego Garcia as a logi or in Aviano or Ramstein or say Creech AFB or maybe Beal AFB are combat time with a ribbon awardable, and yes there is stress, but the guys that have commanded 18,000 combat flight hours for Global Hawk, flown thousands of Predator sorties from Creech, or commanded operations form Eglin are going home at night. That is different from a guy working in country or working in the streets.
I am not dising Beau's service. He has not yet deployed to Iraq, but is going willingly. He was offered an out and honorably did not take it. Still as a military lawyer he will be at risk as would anyone in country, but not likely in the same capacity as a soldier in the street or airman overhead. Still no lack of respect is meant.

Biden is a member of the Delaware Army National Guard, and serves as a Captain in the Judge Advocate General's office. In August 2007, he received notice that his unit would be deployed to Iraq some time in 2008. He is officially scheduled to deploy on October 3, 2008 the day after his father participates in the campaign's only vice presidential debate. His father is on the record as saying, "I don't want him going. But I tell you what, I don't want my grandson or my granddaughters going back in 15 years, and so how we leave makes a big difference."

Jimmy McCain is a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps, and he has served seven months patrolling Anbar Province in Iraq. He learned of his father’s New Hampshire victory as he was digging a military vehicle out of mud.

Doug McCain, John McCain III’s son, was a pilot in the Navy, and he deployed twice to the Mediterranean Sea aboard the USS America CV-66 and aboard the USS Eisenhower CVN-69. He made 256 carrier landings including 88 at night. He received a B.S. degree from the University of Virginia in Systems Engineering in 1982. He flew A-6 Intruders. He has been a pilot for American since 1990.

Jack McCain is studying at the United States Naval Academy, and hopes to train as a helicopter pilot.

When I am sitting in the CWIN or at Beal with a Global Hawk in the air flying a real mission in theater, I am not experiencing real combat time, despite the ability or cue sensors or request the system to perform. Either is the blue suiter sitting next to me as far as I am concerned. Either would I say is the MQ-9B or Hunter driver who mintues later may launch the missle that kills the target all the while sitting at Creech. Facts my friend are that we are more and more commanding war from CONUS. We have more than 3,000 kills this year initiated from CONUS. You have served, do you feel it is the same. Both get the same service ribbon.

I bet Fisher gets more votes than Ralph Nader, or Ron Paulson.

Fisher has my vote, then again I am not happy with either one of these yahoos or their VP picks.
