Have any of you heard of the "Granny Knot" I use that most of the time when I go out. Also does anyone know where I can get some cheap tackle? For some reason I keep losing mine.

The best and easiest knot for hi strength lines that I have found. Real easy to tell when it's tied perfectly. It is exactly a doubled san diego. The regular san diego is also a real good knot for higher test lines. There is also a slightly different version with a doubling of the line though the eye, don't know the name of it though.

Same knot just double your line like you would for a palomar when you pop it thru the eye of the hook and then tie a normal jam EXCEPT only wrap it around 3x making sure NOT to cross up anywhere
