Bad apples

Yea! Carni said it all, "it's to bad that one bad apple spoils it for all". I recall so many threads last season about the fighting and that cereal guy with his boat, that I decided not to ever lobster fish up in the CI area. Being a EX-Long Beach lifeguard I can see the thinking that was generated by the officals responcilble for the saftey of the community up there. They're saying that this is nonsense to act like this and now you guys all got to pay the piper or learn to teach the bad ones how to act properly. In time this will make all boaters that enjoy lobster fishing more responcible to one another but that will take time and for now all the good guys got to pay the price to.

I remember the days when one 3 or 4 people were doing it and we all just had a blast. Now I would rather buy the damn cockroach then deal with the lost nets, idiots wakeing each other and the hours of prep to get on the spot and catch nothing because others take over their share. I should take up diving so people can get pissed I am hunting over their hoops LOL!!!!

Pinnapple, your a smart guy. Think about what would happen if you dropped a seal bomb in the water with a diver. You will literaly blow his eardrums out and he'll go deaf. Thats gonna put criminal charges on you. Im a diver and if somebody drops a seal bomb on me this year, i'll sue them for every damn thing they own.
Think about that, cuz thats dangerous. Possibly attempted murder

There's about 200 commercial traps at Arco Island already........better set your traps during the day.......you can't touch commercial traps that will be a federal offense so you'll have to set your traps clear of them. Did I mention that Harbor Patrol said if your traps are unattended they will pull them up and you will have to claim them from their office.........

Do yaks need bow lights?

the coast guard will be out checking all boats for safety equipment

Unless they went and actually rewrote the laws...we have never been required to run ANY lighting. Law just states that we need to have a light onboard in case we need it.

I do not recall any secret spots!

I'm hoping for it to be DEADER than dead the first nights...better for the regulars that stick it out no matter what.
