Anybody else on this forum that fish the great lakes? I fish out of Oscoda, Mi. and the salmon (largely depleted by lack of baitfish) are schooling near the rivers and streams for their spawning runs. We have boated a few the last trips out, but fish are running smaller, (Chinook @ 10-15 lbs) and zebra mussels are coating all the rocks and dams on the AuSable river. Fish tagged as being released from Oscoda are turning up on Lake Michigan in ever larger numbers probably due to lack of baitfish on Lake Huron. Lake trout this summer were deeper, but larger with more 10 lb. plus fish being caught. Anybody else here fish any of these waters? Please let me know how you are doing.
