Fishing club info - Donations
Hey all - I recently ordered a combo from FFO-tackle and after the first one they sent me was broken by FedEx, they promptly resent another one. The problem is that they sent the wrong reel. The reel they sent me is an Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 5000.

I received a call today from FFO-tackle and they said that they were sorry and would rush me the correct reel. When I asked if they wanted me to return the old one, they said no, just donate it to a local jr fishing club or someone who is under privilaged (very nice of them!!!). It's not a very expensive reel but it's brand new and a solid reel (it's the thought that counts!)

Well, I don't know of any clubs or any under privilaged fisherman so what do you guys think? Who should we donate the reel to? FYI, the donation will be made in the name of Fishermans Factory Outlet Tackle.

Another option is the Meet and Greet at the Channel Islands Yacht Club. They use the proceeds for the RFA

Yes the CIA( Channel Islands Anglers) Meet and Eats will begin again Thursday April 17th. If you wish to donate it too the drawing the proceeds go to So. Cal RFA they use the $ to fight for our fishing rights.
BTW if you guys have any request for speakers let me know and I'll try to get them.

Thanks for the responses guys, all great ideas. I am all for donating the reel to the CIA raffle/drawing. Who should I send it to?

The donation will be made in the name of Fisherman's Factory Outlet. Buy Discounted Fishing Rods, Reels, Line and Tackle From Berkley, Abu Garcia, Fenwick, Mitchell, Spider and Johnson.

BTW, I think the Friends of Rollo site is awsome and I will definately be buying a handfull of tickets for their fundraiser!!

You can send it to me I'm the Commodore of Channel Islands Yacht Club and the Anglers Chairman. I will insure it gets into the drawing or if you feel more comfortable you can just bring it with you to the meeting so we can recognize you for arranging the donation.
