WSB ear bones

What are they? Where are they? How do I get them and what do I do with them when I have them?

It is calcium that builds up in the ear canals. I was shown that once you clean them and take the head off (hopefully to be turned in). Inside where the gills were you cut up by the top of the spine what would essential behind the eye sockets with a pair of wire cutters or something equivalent. Then pull the area apart and inside (if you did it right) there is a set of what looks like rocks (kind of) that are white. Uses? well when I get enough I am making a necklace but that is just me.

If you don't want to go thru the trouble of getting the stones out yourself, try checking with your local landing some of them support the Hubbs research by acting as a collection facility. If you turn a head into them for collection you can exchange it for a set of stones that have been removed already from a seabass. If they are not one they should be able to tell you where the nearest drop off facility is.

I usualy just get a fillet out of the deal and try cooking it , the heads are not what I really want, but thanks anyway bra.

That is called an Otolith and it's part of the fish's auditory and balance systems.
Scientist's can use them to calculate age, etc.,

Yes I realize that but they don't call a diamond a highly pressurized an heated multi million year old piece of carbon. That is what it is but people just refer to it as a diamond to save the time of explanation. You say potato I say...well potato
