Thumbs up New vacuum bagging system

Hey all, ran into this at Pavillions in Valencia. It's a portable vacuum bagging system available from Reynolds. Cost was 9.99 for the pump, which runs on 6 AA batteries, there is a 5.00 mail in rebate, and the bags are on sale as well. Gallon bags are in a 9 count box, 2 boxes for 5.00. This offer is at Vons and Safeway as well. Tried it out and appears to be just as good as my Foodsaver Pro. I will be taking this to La Paz in two weeks. These bags can be filled out at sea and then vacuumed when we get back to the hotel. Check it out.

A simple test..This is a quart size bag ( 3 included with the pump )

Looks to me like I'll be bringing this out on the Pilot Light as well!

Kel

What a cool idea, I am going to us one. I guess you can wash out the bags and reuse them?!?!

Yes you can. They have a regular ziptop top and the vacuum valve is just below that. They are microwaveable as well. I just thought this was cool 'cause you can just fill the bags and zip 'em shut then Vacuum them later!

These are cool, I have a set of 10 and 30 gallon ones that you use a shop vac to seal. It is for storing stuff like towels or what have ya. I have my sleeping bags and some pillows in storage.

Great price, those used to be about 30 bucks.
