It will be cool to have. The funny part is the technology exists and is in use to accurately image all of the litorals, and most of the deep ocean floor in excruciating detail. there isn't a pressing need to release the data, and no one who could pay the cost of sanitizing it if the Government were willing to release it. Besides which do you really need to see every mud gulley carved by prop wash, or rock on the bottom.

that was the new sattelite that went up 2 weeks ago right? i watched the launch geo eye something or other? its supposed to take google earth up a few notches , with fish eye360's goin up and down my block makes me wonder how much futher they will go with it.. the ocean would be a nice touch, but wonder how this potential double edged sword will affect us..
