WHAT KIND OF FISH IS THIS?...

Hi everyone,

I went fishing near Catalina Island (Avalon) and we caught a bunch of these fish. The second you drop your line in the water they just attack!!! It was a blast!

Can anyone tell me what kind of fish it is?

Michelle

That would be a halfmoon

Medialuna californiensis; from the Spanish word medialuna (halfmoon, referring to the shape of the tail) and californiensis (California, where first found).
