Its been re-posted on this board more than a few times. I'm not going to argue right or wrong about the hoops that we ALL have to jump through, but the rules have been laid out as "clean and dry".

WOW - I guess have your boat completely detailed with NOTHING in it. Then Cover it, Transport to Inspection and then add life vest etc. when there so no leaves can blow into your boat. Does sound a bit extreme but guess extreme measures may be needed. Time to buddy up with guys who have boats approved I guess.

Is this a one time inspection and then it has to stay there?

They actually just reject you. You take your yellow paper home with your failed boat to return 28 days later for reinspection. Shattered dreams and all. Just to clarify: the dry leaves(crumbs basically) measured about 1/4 of an inch round in total. The boat was in fact detailed. CLEAN & DRY, YEAH, YEAH, I got it. If I didn't know better, I'd think something smells very fishy here...and it's not my hands nor boat!

So you want to hear extreme? Firefighting aircraft are not allowed to dip from these lakes for fear of cross contamination with other southern California lakes. Hope you don't live in the brush areas. Bye Bye Super Scooper!

What I think is more extreme is that stupid people get paid lots of money to make really STUPID rules for no good reason. I am really sick of stupid people being in power.

Ok again the soap box is free.

Or the french spelling DEBRIE?

Funny, as the french aren't particularly known for cleanliness. ;P
