without our involvement 8 years ago, the current closure size at the CI would have been approximately 50%+/- instead of the current 18-21%. One way or another, what you have inferred - and what has been allowed to remain on the board for days now - will figurtively happen. To what extent it happens may be related to our continued involvement.

Wils, your right, and agree our involment has a big part to do with will happen. Its just a get this feeling that everything had been decided along time ago. And this entire process is just to spoon feed it to us over the comming mth/years.
I ofcouse will be at the meeting/s to contribute what i can. See you there.

The biggest battleground for us locally is gonna be Malibu, they already dont want us there and have the $$$$$$$$ to push even harder for "their" stretch of coast to be closed.

Exclamation Heads up, San Diego!

There are new locations, same dates and times, for the San Diego County meetings. These are as follows:

• Carlsbad on Wednesday, July 9:
Hilton Garden Inn, 6450 Carlsbad Boulevard, 760-476-0800

• San Diego on Thursday, July 10:
Holiday Inn Express Old Town, 3900 Old Town Boulevard, 619-299-7400

The MLPA Initiative folks announced these changes after the original press release.

So the question is.....who are we nominating to be on the stakeholder panel???

Boaters=??????

For the Kayak Fishing Nation...or for that matter anyone that wants to see key coastal locations open......the man to nominate is Paul Lebowitz.....we started defining our battleground locations several months ago.
