I had signed up for a boat in L.B. when I arrived I was told that the boat had been charted and another had taken its place. Now this wouldn't have bothered me but the boat was alot smaller and when asked it had about 50 reserved spots and plenty more wanting to go. Many of the other people didn't know about the change too. So I hate to say when all was said and done I said goodbye and I'll fish another day. Good luck to the guys who went and tight lines I'm gonna do yard work
That happens a lot on LA are landings. I called 22nd St a while back and asked the guy who answered the phone how many people they put on the boat and he wouldn't tell me. I looked at the counts and they had over 45 people on board...ridiculous.
Thats a bunch of crap there.Whats that, unlimited load?

Yep, thats called having your own boat. Just depends where you want to fish. My 25' will range from San Clemente to Laguna Beach no problem. Catalina is pretty much out of the question, but that is the price you pay for fishing off a sailboat. Still she slays the sand bass and calico's. Not to mention when max speed is 6.5 mph, trolling isn't a problem.
I think going out every weekend I may burn 10 gallons this summer.
Yea I know about the boat thing. I sold my 24 skip 12 years ago to move to the mid-west bought a rinker 232 cuddy to play with sold that to move back and now I have to wait till momma says it's ok to buy a toy again. House comes first and then the toys will come again.

That makes paddy hopping a little difficult. Keep your radio on and maybe I'll call you in. Hell, by the time you get there I'll be long gone.

This reminds me of talking to my nieghbor in a slip accross the way. I was bitching about the 175 gallons it took me RT from Catalina last weekend. He has the same size boat. Both of us Diesels. His is a troller single screw 10 knots tops. He claims that Catalina RT is 30 gallons. About 3 gallons an hour vs. 60 gph.
