Halibut Fishing

Hey, as you know I enjoy Halibut fishing and miss it. Thought I would share some cool videos of Halibut fishing with you. Maybe we can all save up and go on a Halibut Trip together.

So, ever see a reel get smoked? Um, I mean literally:
How about a Halibut that will literally rock your boat:
Video isn’t to clear but look at how many Halibut are on the surface – Crazy:
Ever shoot your Halibut with a rifle:
How about Harpooning a Halibut:
Maybe shoot it 3 times with a .357 Magnum:
How about a Big Halibut on 20# line ON a Fly Rod no less:
He fished Alaska for 24 years and this is a first for him:
The family fishes close to shore:
Might be close to shore but it will beat up your boat:
Now I understand why some people shoot them first:
There are of course a bunch of others but I was bored this morning.

Enjoy and let’s fish soon!

Tim

Ya couldn't fix it I need to get to the coding and can't get there from here. Nice fish though all around.

Last 2 video's are proof why you never bring a hot big fish in the boat. My cousin got his leg broke from a 200+ pound pacific halibut in Wrangle Alaska. As he tried to back up he fell and his calf was setting on the edge of a cooler. Like a leaver his foot was up in the air and the fishes tail came down an landed on his foot and ankle. That was all she wrote.
