for the rod, i have a master blackfinn 21, model # 2155, rated for 25-80#, it's a 6 & a half footer, and all roller guides. this was $34.99 at big5,

for the reel, i have an okuma SD55, w/ rod clamp, and 4.0:1 gear ratio,
line cap. is 25/620, 30/510, and 40/430. this reel also has the eyes for attaching a harness. $39.99 at bass pro shops.

for the line, i am using 40# izorline.

to top this off, there is a rapala CD14 MAGNUM in sardine coloration.

is this a decent set-up? if so, what for?

i plan to use this as a shark rod from my kayak.

please reply with your thoughts and/or suggestions for usage and about its quality!

thanks!
mike.

HEY, I GOTTA NEW IDEA FOR CATCHING OUR BAIT!!!

i'll make a giant, extra heavy duty sabiki rig, with poker chips on each of the five hooks as bait; and a rolex knock off as the weight to cast it with!!!
