Pac Bay Reel Seat

has anyone ever bought from the company Merrick Tackle? I have the 2007 catalog and in there Pac Bay advertises some new products. what i was wondering about was the new Channel Lock Reel Seats. they show a picture of many colors including a pink one. but when i look at the color chart next to the ones listed it does not list the pink. its GCL22 what i'm looking for. and if i go to mudhole.com or even pac bays line of products all are listed but the pink.

i'm looking for that pink one, has anyone seen them or are they discontinued?

thanks

chris

I got a couple of the Pac Bay seats. These are the graphite with the aluminum hood covers that come in many colors. Their quality is not anywhere near the all graphite Fugi seats. I wouldn't consider them unless you were using a real clamp as the main source of attachment. When you try to tighten down the nut really tight, it will pop loose to the next set of threads. Maybe OK for 20 lb and less rods. Just my experience with these model seats.

If you buy a normal Aluminum seat you can take it to a plating shop to have it pink anodized. Either your making a rod no one would steel or you have a lady that wants a girly rod hehehe.
