New Rod Seeker 6465H

Hi all. I have built a fet rods over the last few years and want to experiment a bit. I have a seeker 6465h. It is an older blank in the honey color. I think it is around 6 years. it is still in the plastic wrap.

Any suggestions how to best set this up.?

I am thinking of making a wood rear grip from Osage orange with a Gimbal carved from a piece or Vera wood. I have been looking at an Apls Triangle seat and useing a piece of Caribou Hide wrapped over some shaped foam for the fore grip.

My real puzzel is the guids? What and how many?

Any help will be greatly appreceated.

That's a good 6 1/2' 40lb. bait stick, I would go with a standard braced boat guide (XBBG), or turbo's if you want to spend the extra coin. nothing too heavy duty needed and anything over the top would take away from the classic look of the honey blank, but judging by the description of the handle and foregrip, it sounds like you are definately going for that showcase look. I will be curious to see how it turns out.
