1992 22 Cortez Radoncraft by Davis Boats.
7.4L (454)Volvo Duo-Prop new in 2002 and has aprox 500 hours on it, brand new Sterndrive-only 50 hours, new Props, new Exhaust Manifolds, new group 30 batteries, 24 mile Radar, Furuno Color Sonar/ fishfinder, Garmin GPS plotter with 2 chips, VHF, Scotty Black Box, 2 Scotty Downriggers, Outriggers, 2 Bait Tanks, Wash Down, trim tabs, Pacific Trailer with new brakes, brake lines, master cylinder and tires. Runs perfect, professionally maintained, excellent in every respect, always tailored, never stored in the water. Our Cortez has been 100% reliable and is in excellent condition and we are selling it because we had a new Davis 25 Bahia built.
This is turn-key and ready to fish for anything: albacore, salmon, tuna, marlin, etc, and it consistently out fishes other vessels.
The 7.4L engine is an upgrade from the 5.7L and we had it installed new in 2002. It runs at lower rpms, so it has a longer life expectancy than the 5.7; my Volvo certified mechanic states these engines routinely get 3,000 to 4,000 hours. We have put about 500 hours on it in 6 years, so you can do the math. The Sterndrive was replaced just 50 hours ago and it is the latest design that fits our collar, so it is an upgrade rather that just a replacement of the original sterndrive. We always run fresh water and Salt X through the engine after every trip. Because the amount of energy in gasoline, the bigger engine spins a bigger prop set (also new) at lower rpms, it gets about the same gas mileage as the 5.7. The Cortez has a 132 gallon tank and has a 340 mile range. The exhaust manifolds and risers have just been replaced and it had a complete tune-up including compression check – everything is perfect.
The trailer just had new tires, brakes, brake lines and master cylinder installed.
This vessel is totally turn key and ready to fish for anything.
