I can almost hear the Cops theme song. "bad boys bad boys watcha gonna do"

Its good that the DFG are checking kayakers. But me thinks the bigger problems are in the piers and jetties. Sounds like a lot of time and effort are spent on those paddle boards. If I were to out run them, what are they gonna do? I guess the good thing about it is that it sends a message to kayakers to comply. Did he check for a net?

Yeah, they had already paddled all the way from North of the Leo Guard station to Nicholas Canyon to greet us. We were farther out than the whales! It must be my suspicious mug that attracts the wardens.

He never checked my net or asked for a solid measuring device. (Which I could have easily produced to measure my 18" net.)

I agree with you about the jetties and piers. We did chat for a while on shore and I mentioned that I have never, ever, witnessed poaching by a kayaker. However, I've seen plenty of poaching on jetties and piers.

Thanks for the report John.

I might have joined you, if I knew the wind were to die down.
