News 4/17 LJ pops!!

Easy launch easy bait at the pier, mostly all spanish and a couple of greenies.

Found a school of yellows boiling on the surface at the south end of the current WSB spot...kelp was pinned down about 20 feet and a decent current downhill and out. 61 Degrees. 7AM

Threw the iron and the clicker went screaming on my bait rod. It wasn't one of those non commital count to 10 pickups either....instant game on and towage ensued.

Eventually buried me gooooood but stayed with it and managed to slowly pop stringers (the gods of braided line were smiling upon me). Still kelped and making no headway, I put into light drag and let the fish go for about 30 yards....back in full drag, the guy was running on the surface and I had the tired guy shortly after that.....no one out for a pic, so I'll have to go with the cheesy at work pic. Went 30#. I'm stoked...at work by 8:30 Although I heard it blew up biiiig time later in the morning, but smaller models.

School of yellows?! That's awsome. You took that to work with you? I can just imagine the looks. Thanks for the report.
