Leo Carillo Report

Got out to Leo on Sunday for an early launch. There were quite a few yakkers out there, and I chatted with Potto who was on the beach as an observer. The waves were small, but constant. Austin got in dry, but I had to punch through a wall of water to get out. The water was nice- 8 foot visibility and 60°F. Tried the Nicholas area first for a calico and rockfish. We then pedalled North to the beach area for nothing. As we headed in, we met Fish Whisperer who was just heading out - nice to meet you- hope you did well at Deep Hole. We just weren't up for the trek to Deep Hole so we stayed around the surfing area for a couple more rockfish and headed in. Timed it right for a dry landing. I'd like to get out there this Saturday, but I've got a company picnic to attend. Hope you guys catch some good stuff this weekend!

Brown rockfish:

I think a gopher rockfish?

Calico:

Black and yellow rockfish:

All the above were CPR'd.
