Good start to summer break!

Well, I'm off for about three months so decided to dust off the yak and hit up the Bu. Launched at around 6:20 and ended up following around another yakker by the name of Levi. He had the fish finder so I figured it was probably a good call. We first started out south of the pier as there were some birds working the school of chovies. I ended up catching a single chovie and a small greenback. Levi had mentioned that there had been some T-sharks being caught so I flylined/trolled around with the greenie. Since there was little to no action, we started paddling north. Levi started to mark some large fish so we stuck around the area for a bit longer. First my rod went off but the fight was short as I had the drag buttoned down. I got another chance a short while later and pulled up my first thresher. It was a small pup around 30-40lbs. I was tempted to keep it but after looking at it's large puppy dog eyes, I revived her for about 5 minutes and it slowly swam off. Levi ended up hooking 2 threshers and what seemed to be a nice hali but all came unbuttoned.
Here's a quick vid of the end of the fight.

After reassessing the pic, looks like I'm a great fisherman, as I like to embellish the size of my catches. The fish looks as though it went about 20-30lbs. Sure fought a lot harder and felt bigger when I posed for the pic.

Nice fish Frank, and good for you to spend the time to revive him too.
