Met up with someone looking for his first T on Monday evening.
I picked up 5 of them on Saturday and he wanted to give that spot a try, but reports were that Sunday was slow.
Got a message about at 250lb fish off the yak on Sunday and wanted to try that spot.
Launched at about 3PM into windy, choppy, and sloppy seas. I told my partner that I've never hooked into one in the afternoon(7pm being the earliest)...but they turn on once the light changes in the eveing. In typical T fashion he spots a freejumper 17 minutes into our paddle..thus giving us our glimmer of hope for the adventure into the wind. 45 minutes of paddling later we get to our destination. Work a few different depths, current lines, bait balls etc...for nothing.
Tiring work with the wind I give in..letting the wind push me at a nice slow pace back to our launch site. I spot some nervous water in a bit closer and paddle over.
6PM on the button!
And a video clip.
It's that time as Zack goes bendo a few moments after he gets to the spot.
His goal for the summer was to nab a T...mission accomplished!
