Just curious, did you release the "brown rockfish?"

Well Pete after thresher has said it was one didn't think it was necessary to say it again. That and I figured you already knew. To many people have jumper on each other only to find out the person knew all along. Not need to add fuel to a dead fire if ya know what I mean.

I know lots of commercial guys will target what is supposed to be by catch but I don't think any of them are dumb enough to target those. Then again.....

Yes, he was released. The "don't care" wasn't to mean people don't care about the fish and our fisheries. They just "didn't care" to comment for whatever reason.

I just was surprised to receive very little comment about it. But then again, this was probably done before and after a while it gets tiring to speak up.........which I can understand.

I still think there are people who are ignorant of what a juvi BSB looks like, and there should be some education on this. That's how I found out about it. Someone posted a pic with their thread on another website and thought it was a rockfish. When I first looked at it, I too wondered what rockfish it was. Only after reading the comments did I find the correct name and species.

Overall, YES! I was trying to start a fire! It's cold over here and I need something to warm me up.

Yaksailors' reports are always first class and highly regarded.

Maybe there was little comment to your reply because it wasn't your thread?

BTW: Nice thread jack, potto.

BTW: The reg states that BSB must be "immediately returned to the water"....NOT "immediately after photo-ops".

LOL ya was going to say the same thing on the other thread about he Garibaldi that it is an immediate release too. You get caught with them in your boat/yak for any reason it is a big ticket. As long as people release them quick I don't say much but if we are going to be honest LOL!!
