well i finally made it out on the Yak i got, damn it is like paddling a barge,.. LOL ,..went down to Cabrillo with Ron (paintnfish) to do some halibut hunting, he got 8 shorts and i got one short, damn! i was off by a couple of inches, would have been nice to put a legal hali as my first fish on the yak,..but its all good, we paddle around for awhile, never got to make it out to the jungle. i'll try again later, right now im looking to yak so many other places, i just have to do it all one by one, going out to Cherry beach manana to hit White Island, if the weather looks promising, i might just make it over to Chaffee for some bass, right now im just learning the ropes so i thought i take it slow and do some perch fishing, heard the Sargo are hanging around white, those grunts are fun on 6#,..i still need to tweak with the yak and figure out a way to make things easier for me, almost lost a rod, broke a rod and i need to start exercising my arms, more push ups needed! worked out the legs on the tube, now its time for the guns,..well here one pic of the hali, hope to have more manana!
