Ventura flats

Has anyone ever fished the Ventura flats? I checked out launch sites at the State Beach and Seaside park but both had a bit of surf and a long walk. The angle of the coast there really favors NW wind swell. I was still kind of sick so I headed home. Looks like Ventura harbour, Emma Wood or Pitas Point is the way to go. From there, its about 2 miles to the flats. Planning on launching Thursday, 530 AM, most likely at Emma Wood. Join me if you can.

Good luck out there Adam! The fog was lingering about a 1/2 mile out all morning today with the fog horn blowing until about noon(can hear it from my house.) Winds also picked up early as well. I'm heading down south of Dume to fish manana...perhaps BKR.
