Headed down the coast after work to see what I was missing out on. Beautiful morning of course!
7AM and 1 yak and a PB out at Deep Hole proper. 2 yaks already out at Leo and one on the way out....the YakSailors looked to be off to a late start.
Spotted some bird action with some T pup's stirring up the pot.
Along came the Aloha Spirit(light load) and Erna B(fully loaded) not far behind.
Aloha passes the yak and PB on the inside just as a very nice pod of flippers breezes through...Erna B takes the high road and passes to the outside.
Aloha anchors up shallow where the bull kelp used to keep boats at bay right in front of Neptunes Net...Erna B keeps motoring away down the coast. Looked like slim pickings for the Aloha on that first stop. Saw one nice fish come over the rail by the obvious "hot stick" in the corner(he was the only one that was working while the others soaked away.)
I head out to see where the Erna B went......low and behold they're anchored up at Leo and the Yaksailor's are just over a hundred yards away...glad to see they made it out.....9am and gorgeous out....2 more yaks now out at Deer Creek....wind is just starting to pick up.
I get outta dodge as the reason I'm not out there myself is that I have tons of honey do's to get done before our annual 4th BBQ and fireworks.
Perhaps I'll sneak in a quick run first thing manana.
