Got out to Leo this morning, pretty early for us. There were already 6 yakkers out there and 2 charters. Saw Potto there, as usual. We headed out to the spot, but metered some fishy spots along the way and couldn't help but stop and pick off a couple. I heard a guy say that he hadn't caught anything, and I'll bet he didn't have a meter. The uphill current was so strong that you couldn't see the kelp from the surface, and therefore the structure was not obvious. We found a spot with plenty of action:
Austin immediately hooked up with this toothy lass. We didn't have our gripper and neither of us wanted to touch her.

Toothy and parasites all over.
We couldn't stick to one spot due to the current. As soon as we drifted, the bite disappeared. I may try my anchor again next time.
We managed several other fish of the usual fare:
We decided to take the long way home and visit Johnny Rockets for burgers and shakes. On the way, I saved a waypoint that is unskunkable, even for the unluckiest fisherman:

If you Google map it, you'll see. No skunks, guaranteed!
