Drove to Jalama this morning. All surf forecasts - NOAA, stormsurf.com said 1 - 2 ft or flat but it was cranking and BIG there with 3 - 4 ft sets with little or no intervals. There was NO WAY I was going to get out. Looked like a SW swell but there IS NO SW swell. Jalama is one freaky spot. Maybe that submarine canyon helped a little.

MJ, I'll let you know when Im heading up there again.

Fished up in SB this evening...glad to see one boat that didnt get sidetracked by the WSB. Big gear all rigged with rapalas and BOM's....yuppers scored a T!!!
