Jalama report 7/28

Both the swell and the winds will finally be very light tomorrow (Friday 7/28). NOAA says less than 10 knots all morning. I will be launching at Jalama around 6:45 AM. Join me if you dont have to work. Guaranteed limits on rockfish, Lings, decent shot at Seabass too.

I'm swamped at work.
Good luck out there, stay safe and catch something BIG.

Quick report...

Launched at 7 AM into greasy calm conditions. From the first drop it was non stop action on Coppers, Lings, Calicos and one Sheephead. They all loved the 5.5 in Big Hammer in Christmas Tree and quickly shred it apart. I tried dropper loop with a big Smelt as bait in hopes of WSB but that didnt work as all the hungry mouths quickly gobbled the smelts. I need to find a BIG bait and go and sit in a less active spot I think. It was overcast but warm and there was zero wind all day long. Planning on going back tomorrow.

Great job on the fishes.
There are plenty of Sheepheads up there, I wonder if it has anything to do with no or little divers.
You might want to get a hold of Les, he probably would like to join you tomorrow.

Go get something Big.
