I would have kept filming to capture the money shot, but both my baits kept getting ziiiiippppped, so I had to put the camera down and put my head back in the game. A couple o logs and a bonie for me, all 9 of my baits were hit, mauled, and two very distictive crushed baits.....I'm going back for more punishment tomorrow and I'm bringing the bass rod for simulated YT action on the bonzillas.

Glad the visitors got a nice day out in La Jolla.

Late start for Marcus (Chuam) and I. Arrived at the beach at around 5:30 after only three hours of sleep. Spotted Island Fox's car so I knew to keep an eye out for him and Dan on the water. Due to the late start, we opted to head for the bouy in hopes of some live bait. None to be found so it was gonna be a jig and rapala (trolling) day. Didn't seem to matter to the boneheads and cuda as the blue and white 7X light and 6Xjr were getting hammered every 3-4 casts. First fish for me was a ling that hit half way on the paddle out to where the sport boats were parked. My next fish was a big bony that got a bit of revenge on me as it took a nice bite into my thigh when I had him on the deck. Ended the day with 6 cudas, 2 bonies and the ling. All fish except for one bonita were released. Also got the crap scared out of me. As I was dangling my 2nd bonita over the side of the yak trying to unhook it, a seal came out of the water and took off with my hooked bonita . Wanted my jig back so I fought with the fur bag for a couple minutes. The jig eventually came flying off as the seal was thrashing my fish around

I hope it was the CandyCatcher's sticker that gave it away...and not that it's the ugliest looking thing in the world.

Frank, you forgot to mention that you got your revenge by bashing it's skull in!
