GBers bendo in LJ 8/1

Just a preview: MJ and Thresher and his friend (didn't catch his name) came down to La Jolla for some kayak fishing. Conditions shaped up nice after two really blowey days and it was plenty fishy......I have some cool video, but I'm going to let MJ or Frank write the report, as they were still working away as I shuffled off to go to work.....

Wait...before you get any crazy ideas....no monsters from the deep, just some really fun pickin away on some fish. MJ's quote at the launch was "....anything but bass...."

Definately a blast. Just got home, I'm tired, hungry, and gotta clean my gear. MJ please do the honors with the report. I'll chime in with my take later this afternoon/evening.

MJ, we are all at the edge of our seats and hitting the refresh key repeatedly. Let's have it. Enough with the suspense already. Wha 'cha got?

Sorry guys....usually practive CPR so keeping fish takes a bit of work.
VERY FUN Day out there today.
All you wanted on the bonies and cudas on bait and iron.
Got one of the right kind...dink but I'll take it!
Had a bonie work me hard thinking he was a big yellow. 8.1lbs of foul hooked Bone is what came up. He was hooked dead center on his back!
Dan got that little battle on video. Oh rod is a Calstar 270-8h jigstick.

Now for some of the days photos.
Heading out with the New Seaforth and Dolphin out there.

My initial bendo on the foul hooked bonie....what would you think was on the other end!

Frank BENT!

5lb Firecracker...I'll take it!

The smallest of the bones. Biggies were in the 7-8lb range.

Toss my last bait out and instantly get smammed by this guy. 6lbs and 36"

And a cheezy driveway shot of the KILL.

Good times indeed!
Thanks Dan!
