4am?

4am? Damn, maybe that's why I don't catch more fish! lol... having never kayak'd, what happens if you hook into a hog? Do you end up in Hawaii? Ensenada? (though once, I saw a guy in a kayak catch a 120# sailfish on one of the TV shows!!)

Thumbs up

There's no cure for "Yellowtail fever" and I thought it was a local
disease.

Enjoy guys sounds like great fun ahead, but the little I know about those fish warns me: they are often "here today, gone tomorrow"

Well.....that was indeed the case today......left Thresher and Potto out there while I paddled in with my tail between my legs. Big 8# bonies around, C&Rd a pair. There were some yellows landed, but from where I sat, it was much slower.....

Saw a 70 year old italian guy in a kayak battling a big BSB this morning, he estimates it was ~80 pounds. It had him spun and towed for 30 minutes. Revived and off it went.

9lb Bonita for me. Nice to have live bait actually work. So used to the Malibu area where it is mostly a miss on the hit or miss.

Arrived at 2:45am, off the water about 11am. Very very tired.

Quite a few Yellows were caught. The biggest was around 20lbs. I must have seen at least 5 people with Yellows, but there were others like myself that wasn't so lucky. Odds are, you will get hooked on a yellow. Just not for me today.
