i love my avets. but this price change aint sitting right...i went along with the glued drags...even tho i hate it. Im one of those that cleans his reels often. I never had issues with the build up because i never let it get that way. Even buying a new spool to change a drag sounds absurd...

Max cost is $25, (including all if any necessary parts) to send it back to Avet to have it tuned up. Just got off the phone with them. Hope this info helps.

Thank you Alan for the info, my reels are much older then 6m old, so next time i'l make sure to ask if my reels have drag washer glued on


Ain't I the lucky one to be in LA/CA

since i'm Mechanically Inclined + we fish 1 to 3 times a week mostly + i'm not the only one using my reel's + the most i do is clean our reel's and rods by washing them w/ some fresh water after fishing... i was told by some good friends to have our reel's serviced after, so every 40 days all i need to do is drive dawn to Avet take my reel's to them, have them serviced, have a nice chit chat w/ the Brothers, play w/ the new SX /mc or JX/mc reels, learn a think or 2 and only then drive back TO WORK this is what i have done today... so i'm good for another 40 days

PS. was told not to use my garden holes w/ pressure to wash the reels, since the water pressure will push the salt or any other dirt in to the reel
