I have used the butterfly jig back East with fantastic results. Everything seems to like it. Haven't had any sucess with it on the West Coast?

Quick release methods and hook ups usually are more than the conventional methods. I think that fish have some sense and these new things are just that new and therefore the fish don't really know that it's just another trick like what happened to their swimming buddy who tried to eat the worm and was poked in the head with a gaff pole and blood was everywhere and soon buddy was gone forever .

I've pretty much have taken off all my treble hooks on the jax jigs also and have added butterfly stinger hooks to those as well as my heavy Megabaits, heavy diamond jigs, Yozuri's, etc.
