Ok so it takes a big man to admit he doesn't know everything and well..... I don't. I fish a lot of salt water and that mainly focusing on bass. Spotties, sandies, and calies. I wanna branch off into freshwater but find myself banging my head agaisnt the wall. Drop shotting I'm good with but crank baits and wormin not so much. Any tips out there? Color/style selection maybe? or ????
cranks are 1 of the easest things to master a big part is having good equipment find the right depth and match it with the right baits as for color if its dark water and bright skys =bright colors if its dirty water and cloudy sky =dark color if its clear than use shad colors but if you wanna catch big fish learn how to fish a jig its the hardest thing to learn but when you get its an art hope this helps

Thanks alot bro that helps out a ton. color selection and when to use were 2 of my tough spots. I mainly have ponds around that are 10ft or less deep and over pressured so the odds are stacked against me but I'm gonna keep tryin and try and get more time on bigger lakes
for a place like that try a frog a shallow crank or a spiner bait

I Have had excelent luck with an old "Thin fin shad" sinking crank bait I think it was made by Heddon, it came out of my Dads old takle box must be at least thirty years old. Seems like every time I put it in the water I catch somthing Bass trout even big crapie. Only problem is that before I put new hooks on it, Those old rusty hooks gave several fish LOCK JAW and will never be caught again. Use old stuff chanced are the fish have never seen that one!!!
