Just got off the phone with Ventura Harbor Patrol, They said you cannot get within 750' of any break wall or other structure with hoop nets, so ya its shut down! That really sucks, they could have made this announcement a lot earlier, before a lot of people spent so much money and time getting prepared for this season! I wonder if they are doing the same thing at Channel Islands? What they just created is a larger problem for CI all of the boats that are normally in Ventura will now be with all of the boats in CI, Man, somebody is going to make money filming this cluster F**k. They want us to put the lobster nets out with the commercial guys, man that is going to piss off the commercial trappers, that is taking away from their lively hood. I'm sorry but this just outright sucks!
