Castaic this Sat/Sun?

Today was my last day of nursing school and I need to get out of the city and soak a few lines. I haven't been fishing in almost 2 years (I know - don't say it) - so my questions are: upper/lower? time? bait?

Thanks,

-R

Hey man......hit the lower hard in the morning and late afternoon into the evening hours. Plastics plastics plastics for sure. 4 to 6 inch worms, creature baits etc.....slow slow slow....if you see your line moving on the retrieve....slow it down some more....Bass are in prespawn lock jaw mode but can be taken with time and patience. TRUST ME.......after 2 years...you should be able to get into that zone comfortably for sure. If you catch anything and wanna share....call me at the landings up there. MON-FRI 7-2. Good luck man....

It was a total skunk. Had two bites early on and nothing. I was there sunrise to sunset at the lower lagoon near the lifeguard/launch ramp. LoL, I even paid the extra pole tag to double my odds - so I got double goose-eggs! Oh well, I guess that's what next weekend is for right?

I did hear that a guy in the water on a floattube or kayak pulled a 14lb bass, but I never saw it.
