Intake II for the Opener
Hi guys,
Well my buddy and I hit up Intake II for the opener. What a beautiful place. There's snow on the ground around the campgrounds but it really wasn't that cold. We got up to the lake at around 3:00 am to stake claim on a prime piece of shore line. Set up the easy up and a stove. Made a cup of coffee and started fishing for a few bites here and there, all on the black, gold, and red Tommy Bouyant. That was the way it went most of the day for the shore fisherman, it was a totally different story for the float-tubers. They were killing them. It looks like I need to invest in a tube and some waders.
At around 1pm I dicided to go give Bishop creek a try while my buddy stays at our spot along Intake II's shore. At the creek I picked up a couple brookies on salmon eggs.
After dusk, we settled in and had a nice trout dinner. I must have caught about 20+ rainbows. It was a great day up there, I just wish I didn't have to come to work.
