Missing Fisherman

Anyone see the news regarding the boat "Wild Thing"? Missing boater Joe Jones was not on the boat when the USCG found it over 250 miles off Morro Bay. Not looking good at this point.

Found this....interesting they located the boat using the GPS tracking device used to determine if commercial fisherman are fishing in federal regulated waters......

i just read this story, and it really saddens me. My heart goes out to his family.
Its sad how more and more fisherman are being pushed.

Even worse when you're out there by yourself, no one around to radio in an emergency........prayers for family.

Has anything else been posted on this one? The coast guard story didn't have a lot of information in it.

I did an internet search yesterday for more information and couldn't find anything. I figured they found an empty boat.

This makes taking another person and buddy boating seem like the way to go.
