just wanted to complain

Well I went fishing this evening with my son over at the Point Mugu base. All was going well till about 7:00 when the base police showed up and told us that the channel that flows into the lagoon in no longer legal to fish. This realy ticked me of seeing as many people have been fishing there for a while. I explained all this time him and he showed me the new instruction that came out on March 02 of this year.
I comensed to tell him they need to post new signs and what not so that away people would be aware of this situation and what not.
Any how just had to get it out and let you all know that that spot is no longer legal for fishing, so on with finding another honey hole for myself. Take care and god bless.
By the way caught a three foot SNGF but my son had the camera on the wrong setting. Sorry.

Your are talking on the base just NW or the bird sanctuary?

Ya would be great if they posted something to let ya know. I guess I will have to fish it from the ocean side. Nice shovel nose though even though it sounds like it might be the last.

ARGH! And I was gonna fish there in the next week or so.
What were they thinking with all the people that fish there? I'm always amazed at how many come out and fish their lunch breaks.
What's the point of that parking lot from now on?? Makeout Point??
Perhaps until there's signs pull a Ninja and fish outta sight.

Put my co-worker on his biggest fish EVER there.

Yea I know big bummer, but they said you can still fish anywhere to the right of the channel as long as its not in the channel. My thoughts I will just throw it over there and let it be. They have no ideal about fishing, just that its not allowed. Sorry to break everyones heart. Take care.

I am going to vent alittle, Here goes, How many of our fishing places is the Government going to close down. I live in Lompoc 9 miles from the ocean and I can't fish there anymore because of home land security and the Snowy Plover, but they let surfers go surffing there. First it was the snowy plover that closed the beach for 9 months all except 1/2 mile, and now it is completly closed to fishing. I asked DFG in Santa Barbara if the Plovers had GPS because they only pick this beach. I told them that at Cojo ranch, Hallister ranch, El Capitan Beach and beaches in Santa Barbara had Snowy Plovers but they where not being closed. I all so asked him if these plovers in these other area's " are they not having babies. You always get the same answer " write a letter and see if you can change it". I know this site is monitored by DGF and I know they know how I am, But we just want all this B. S. to stop and help us to try to keep some of our local area's open!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is just Big-D talking, NOT the Dog

I would like to rant too.
Lets not forget the NBA. Almost all the games are being won at home. What a lame rigged sport! The refs are there not to call a fair game but call 7 games if they can. Just lame. And yes, I haven't watched a single game this year, or the previous, or the one before that...........

I would like to rant because nobody ever told me about this place to fish before they actually closed it. Now that I know about it, I can't even fish it.

Anyone up for sneaking in to fish it late night?
