I am gonna take my boys out to a pier this Saturday (06/14/08). Anyone have any recommendations. We typically go to Ventura or Malibu Piers. We havent been in a while. Any reports on either of them....or any other piers in the So Cal area????
In the past Ventura has been more productive than Malibu.
during the day alot of macks but havent really fished it long enuff to get anything good during the day. At night a bunch of herring and perch and pinback sharks
up to 5 footers some nice size shovel nose as well.

If you go to malibu peir use white grubs they kill there. I know a guy there that pulls legals out of there all the time and all he uses is a white grub..Happy fathers day.

I like to go to Goleta Pier... Halibut, perch fishing, the pipe is along the Northside of the pier....(Facing towards the University) Fish hang out there.....Good luck happy father day....
