VERY good dope from commercial guy on BD.

Guys, here is a cut and paste from a Bloody Decks post by Tommy, a well known source of dependable info. This was posted today. The deal is that those fish that were off SD are moving up the line, supposedly on the inside and outside. Below is the post.

Vessels reporting form the area known as uncle sam bank and to the outside are logging in fair amounts of fish. Some spots in the 40 to 60 ton range. One spot of bigeye was set on, with the main body sinking out only a few fish stayed inside and that was rolled right on deck. Spot was said to be 60 ton, the fish that hit the deck was 45 to 60 pound big eye.
Also noted was a 55ton spot of 60 plus bft taken..

Watch for counts to go up as weather is pushing fish from down below and one should watch this weather coming in from the outside below the cape..

Vessels jigging to the far west have moved UP the line into/outside US waters. Most vessels in the US Jig Boat fleet are far far to the north. With one staying behind who is run by an AMERICAN however he has a full crew from MEXICO, so he is legal.

It would seem that the scouting wave (1st if you will) has passed through our local waters here in SD. Several areas on the path towards our local San Diego areas are seen. Yeah, its still coming.

for the boys north of San Diego ,, watch the inside of the channel islands for BFT, the Pedro boys should be on the move within a week.

Several spots seen on and just short of the 60 and tanner showed BFT as well in the last 2 days. The 60 has always showed signs this time of year with a few guys taking the shot to see.

Couple big triple/twin outboard center cons seen making the run, those guys looked like they were having a blast.

Kelps are "starting" to show better signs, with most holding a better grade of yellowtail.

Bonito,, again,,,,,, and again,,, mixed with BFT in areas where there is alot of bait,,,,, this has been the same story for over a month now,,,,, get the picture, get in the game..... Bonito are not the bad guys here...

The seiner fleet are spread out pretty good, with some guys making the run in from the weather build up on the outside. BFT are now (again) being seen and taken in fair numbers in US waters, watch the pedro boys start to show up on the 9 and arouond the channel islands....
