Lahaina, Maui Fish Report: ***Updated July 22, 2008***

Aloha Folks,

Ono Noah updating everyone with what was caught here in Lahaina harbor the past three days.

On Saturday July 19, 2008 we hooked up and landed a 370 pound blue marlin off Lahaina, Maui. The billfish was hooked up on a purple soft squid lure. And as always, the reward proved to be well worth the fight. Beautiful irridescent array of blue and purple shaded it's body and she kept her color all the way back to the harbor.

On Sunday July 20, 2008 we hit a floater about 8 miles off of Lana'i point. We could not rig our hooks fast enough, the Mahi-Mahi (Dorado/dolphin fish) were hooking up two to three at a time and captain landed two or three from the upper deck. We got a total of 16 Mahi-Mahi ranging from 15-37 pounds and we pulled in a 39 pound Ono (Wahoo). *We also hooked up and landed a 400 pound billfish. Two billfish in as many days. Not a bad weekend of fishing here in the Valley Isle.

*Sorry for the delay on the pics folks, I have purchased my own digital camera now, no more waiting on the photographer to provide me with photos. I will be snapping all of my own shots, so the fish I see, you see.

Today, Monday July 21, 2008 we hooked up about 12 yellowfin tuna, 3 ono, tagged and released a nice mako shark and hooked up the nice mahi mahi (pic at bottom of this thread). Stay posted folks... camera died on me today so I only got one shot. Plenty more fish tomorrow.

I got a couple nice shots of a 25 pound Mahi-Mahi we caught today, Monday July 21, 2008 -- I will post these after work, stay tuned folks many more monsters are on their way in.

Nice shot of the Mahi Mahi down at the bottom of the page, more pics to come.

***Updated Tuesday July 22, 2008***

Aloha Folks,

Ono Noah checking back in after a full day of fishing here on Tuesday July 22, 2008 in Lahaina, Maui.

I must say that today was one of the best days of fishing in the past month. Ono Noah is true to his word, and what I see, you see -- Guarantee.

Captain Rhino from Start Me Up Sportfishing reported and confirmed this 490 pound billfish caught on Tuesday July 22, 2008.

This is one beauty of a billfish.

Captain Tim Putnam from Start Me Up Sportfishing hooked up and landed nice size Ono (Wahoo).

Everything's bigger in Texas

And last but most certainly not least... yours truly, Ono Noah -- I hooked up a few Ahi (yellowfin tuna). Sashimi anyone?

Yea,the CC here is really good.Has one of if not the best Comm.Dive programs in the country. The fishing here has been really good so far this year.Lots of halibut,WSB.Calicos, and of course Rockfish.I've been lucky to get over to Rosa about 10 times so far this year, and been blessed w/great fishing ,and meeting some new people from this site who have turned out to be very cool, and helpfull.
Hurry and get those pics out to us cause I know the GBers over here would love to see Dodo's ,and Billfish on the site.
Cheers
MJ.

Yea, good fishing is right. I have to find a cord to adapt my camera to upload the photos. If not i'll just have to use my other camera and start with some new pics tomorrow. I'll definitely have some pics up by tomorrow 6:00 P.M. Hawaiian Standard Time.

Lahaina Harbor: Monday July 21, 2008

Aloha Folks,

Ono Noah updating everyone on the fishing here today in Lahaina. Awesome day, the boys handled some good size mahi mahi and got hooked up with a bunch of Ahi.

Captain Patrick Dorn from Start Me Up Sportfishing hooked up and landed many a mahi mahi. Unfortunately my camera died after just one shot, but I managed to snap it of this nice 25 lb mahimahi.

Stay tuned, my camera is fully charged. I'll be at the harbor tomorrow bright and early and we're going to get some serious fish. And remember folks, from now on -- what I see, you see, guarantee.
