Red face Speed Twin 1/2 Day 7-22

So Tuesdays have always been the day for the "Regulars" on the Speed Twin, so this being the first Tuesday since returning from Santa Barbara I had to take the day off and spend the day with all the old faces....

We stopped on the "L J" first thing on some scattered fish marks, but current was ripping and nothing wanted to chew so off we went in attempt to get some fish in the bags....
The Grouper were so thick that we moved multiple times to evade them...but they were relentless...I ended up with a nice Red and a few Bankies for my sack then off to the kelp we went!

We snugged right up to the kelp line, but the current was rippin' pretty good...Sardines were few and far between, but I managed to get a few that wanted to swim into the kelp and when they did it was instant!!!

Seals were so thick and the Pelicans REDICULOUS!!!! They were eating bare hooks and flying into everyone's line...One bird after another...Annoying!!! Especially when you are fishing light sliders....
We ended up with bunch of misc. rockfish, a couple handfuls of Calicos, and the White fish bit real well there at the end of the day along the Kelp line...So fishing was Decent...I went by myself but managed to have a great time drinkin' beer, soakin' up some rays and watching my son scrub!!!!! He's PRO with the Pelicans now!!!
