Cool Catalina report from 7/26 for striper crew

Hello all, I got a little report then I want to vent some anger if you dont mind.
Headed for Cat Fri afternoon, I heard bait was scarce at the island so we played it safe and loaded up at Nachos.(candy).Got to Cat around 5ish and planned on getting som sleep before hittin up the backside real early on Sat AM. Long story short threw some squid on the frontside when we got there not even 10 min WHAMO hit in the way down, set the hook RIGHT KIND....17lb WSB. Ok go to sleep after dinner and get around to the Palisades area lil secret spot back there I share with a couple THOUSAND other boats lol. Thats not why I am pissed, you see there is this rude SOB that thinks he owns the place on his little skiff, and I anchor up about 70 yard away from this D#$k, and he says ''hey your too close'', mind you he is right on the Phantoms ass. I politeley ignore him as there are boats everywhere and this clown can pound sand in my book.
Soaking some candy and around 8 after the gazillion mackeral left it was ON. WHAM O we go bendo on the first of four nice Yellows to about 35 lbs.
As soon as I can figure out how to resize the Pics Ill post em, as for that ass, anyone know who Im talkin about, He was way outa hand I left most of his words out, I am a real patient guy when it comes to jerk offs like that but not this time.
tight lines-Capt Lew

Lew went to Dana got the boat in the water started out and blow the water pump the spare was in my garage. That ended the trip. that water pump was only 4 mos. old.
think the shop that put it in had it a few years just sitting it was really hard rubber and broke half the fins off. Till next time keep'em bent.

Nice job on the yellows Lewis. The local skiff fisherman are usually pretty cool, but you must have caught one of them having a bad day. I wouldn't let it bother you too much.

Thanks for the report!

Be careful of one of the locals that fishes out there. He has been in Jail already over having a gun out there and harassing other boats. He feels he owns the grounds.
I fished with a local and heard the story and even the local stayed clear. Sounds like the same guy. He usually has the most empty water around him so he's easy to spot.

Lewis, I plan on heading out on Saturday morning with a crew from Stealth Stix. We have not decided on a game plan as of yet, but we might go paddy hopping or we might opt for the yellows at the island. Let me know if you're interested in buddy boating.
