Channel Island WSB

Went to our favorite island friday night with hopes to catch or buy some live squid.
No luck on finding the live bait boat Outer Banks so we put
the lights out and tried to catch some squid.we only caught 7 squid and about 20 mini spanish mackarel.
In the gray light I thought I had a WSB but it was a 4 lb bonito.
Moved to try the halibut, but soon a buddy(Capt Ron)calls out that he landed a 25 lb WSB. A minute later I call him up and he says hes hooked up again.
We pull our lines in and haul ass to where he is.
As soon as we get there and drop the anchor, were all hooked up.We get our limits(9) in about 30-40 minutes.
A couple of the fish were about 30 lbs,it was one of the hottest WSB bites I`ve been in.
I didn`t get and pics of our fish, but a few of Capt Rons fish.
Tried the flatties with no luck.
Had great weather, action and a good time.
