3/4 day Chub II
Fish the Chub II 3/4 day 08/31 with 48 of my closest friends at the Islands of Los Coronados.
Bait was good, big healthy dines and 'choves.
We fished Middles, Pukey and The Ribbon.........
Fished the Onion real hard for the first part of the day for nada.
Ernie made our next to last move back to the Middles and as he circling, we see some puddlers, so I grab the jigstick again. Game on!!! 18#er hits the deck, graveyard dead. Decide to fish the mushroom for the rest of the day and put two more on in 10 mins, 17# and 19#. MY boy Bauer and his girl came out the weekend to fish, he nailed a 24# for JP. WTG AB
Boat got 26 for the day, plus some Scooters and a few Spotcoats. Great crew as usual, Ernie, Grant, Cory and the little red headed girl......thanks boys
And on the down low, shhhhhhhhhhhh..............I got to do some Beta testing for the new Daiwa "Lucanus" style jigs today. Had the hot hand, hung a couple nice fish on them. Hopefully the one I was fishing they're going to make, 'cause it was sick and it got the job done
