News CIH to 60 Mile Bank and back 8/31 and 9/01

Some decent Dodos and as many peanut Albies as you wanted between the West Butterfly and the 60 Mile Bank. Dodos were done on bait, 1 was a troll fish. Most of the peanut Albies were on the troll. Dodos came from the cool side of the temp break that we fished, which was 68.5-69.3 degrees. We baited a Marlin on the West End of Catalina on Sunday morning which was a no-go. Spooked a sleeper that sunk out on the Butterfly Monday morning, and saw a free jumper about 10 miles due East of Pyramid Head on San Clemente Island. Saw a VERY large free jumping Dodo about 2 Miles on the backside of the West End of Catalina Monday afternoon. Other than the size on the Albies, the fishing was definitely decent. Photo is from my phone, sorry about the quality.

Wow, that's putting some serious time on the water. You guys are hardcore. Nice size dodos. Where did you guys lay over Friday night? How many miles is that anyways?

We left CIH Sunday at 5am, and returned to CIH at 6:15pm Monday.
Spent the night on open water on the 60 Mile Bank. The bottom of the 60 Mile Bank is 144.5 miles from CIH. Round trip plus trolling was 372 on my GPS.
